THE MERMAID SONG
1/ So I bring the mermaid
flowers,
sat
softly beside the ocean waves,
crashing
against the rocks in
time
with our two beating hearts,
I could
feel her breath like
a breeze
on oceans currents,
I could
hear her breathing
the
sunshine brightly apon,
the
waters, the stars twinkle
And the
moonlight so bright.
2/ Her
aura mesmerised me,
before
she slipped back into the Sea.
From
horizon's in dawns first light,
how I
remember all those years ago
Making
love in the lagoon.
3/ She
said the ocean was calling her
why
don't you come with me across
The
ocean.
She
spoke of a love far away
She said
she could not stay.
I was
charmed by her smile,
I was
seduced by the sound
of the
ocean,
it
brought it all back to me
just
before she slipped into,
the
sea
Now
she's free
Now
she's free.
I
was drawn like a moth to the light,
but
still love burns.
If she'd
return like the ebb and flow,
will she
return to me
Will she
return to me.....
