After The Rainfall

I know a church where the rain comes in

through a stain glass window

after the rainfall

after the rainfall.

She falls to her knees

she prays a little harder, to be a little kinder

when the fear has come

she falls to her knees for him to return

as she lights another candle and whispers another

prayer in his memory

after the rainfall

after the storm has come.

In the calm cold night of day

she lays her life opon the alter

for her god

as he sleeps silently

as the tears begin to flow

after the rainfall

after the rainfall

The wind blows cold through the church

as she goes in search for peace of mind

with her heart open wide for her love she has inside

after the rainfall

after the rainfall

after the rainfull
